Abstract

The introduction provides an overview of the groundbreaking impact of Ginger Essential Oil Nano emulsion Based Composite Edible Coatings (GEO NECC), in the food industry. The review aims to offer an examination of GEO NECCs ranging applications with a particular focus on its exceptional abilities, in preserving food enhancing sensory experiences and promoting sustainability. One key aspect to be highlighted is GEO NECCs protective properties, which have proven highly effective in extending the shelf life of various food products, including baked goods, dairy items, meat and poultry. To increase food safety, the antibacterial and antioxidant properties of GEO-NECC will also be highlighted in the study. The essay will, however, discuss the drawbacks of using this technique, including uniform coating thickness, ingredient compatibility, and regulatory compliance. Future research will be a beneficial from the study's automated application techniques, food product formulations, and complete reference to complex regulatory environments. The report aims to serve as a valuable tool for academics, decision-makers, and food producers. The paper will conclude that, although GEO-NECC still requires research and development, it has a lot of potential to change the food industry.
