Comparative histological studies on the female reproductive system of poultry at different stages of laying

Abstract
The study was designed on (indigenous chicken of Assam and Kamrupa variety, AICRP (PB) in pre-laying, laying and post-laying stages. The luminal surface of entire oviduct was lined by pseudostratified ciliated columnar epithelium except the funnel and tubular part of the infundibulum was lined prominently by ciliated simple columnar epithelium with goblet cells.
