Statistical assessment of job satisfaction factors in working women using chi-square analysis

Abstract

This research article aims to examine the factors impacting job satisfaction among working women utilizing Karl Pearson's Chi-Square test. The Chi-Square test for independence allows researchers to assess the relationship between variables, determining their dependency or independence. The study involved 150 higher secondary school teachers from government and private schools in Muzaffarpur district, Bihar. These teachers were provided with two types of questionnaires: one self-made and another based on a five-predefined level scale. Out of the 150 questionnaires sent, 120 were returned by the respondents. The results of the Chi-Square test indicate a noteworthy difference in job satisfaction levels among higher secondary school teachers. Notably, the research findings suggest that female teachers exhibit lower levels of job satisfaction compared to their male counterparts.
