Formulation and evaluation of an herbal face pack containing Clitoria ternatea for topical application

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate an herbal face pack formulated using Clitoria ternatea, known for its rich antioxidant content. Various batches were prepared using natural ingredients such as Multani Mitti, Sandalwood, Aloe vera, Honey, and Rose water. The formulations were evaluated for their physicochemical properties including pH, spreadability, appearance, stability, and skin irritation. Among the batches, Batch B exhibited optimal characteristics, including good spreadability, no irritation, and acceptable stability. These findings suggest the potential of Clitoria ternatea-based herbal face packs as a safe and effective skincare alternative.
