Assessment of various natural bio-stimulants on the growth and yield of fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum L.)

International Journal of Research in Agronomy · 2025 · Vol. 8(3) · pp. 702–705

Abstract

Field experiment was carried out at carried out during early summer 2024 in the department of horticulture, Horticulture Research Farm, R.A.K., College of Agriculture, Sehore (M.P.). This experiment was laid out in a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with three replications and nine treatments. The experimental crop fenugreek was line sown with the spacing of 15cm*10cm. This study evaluated the effects of various treatments on plant growth and development at different growth intervals. The treatments included Vermiwash (2.5%) + Cow urine (2.5%), RDF (80:40:40 NPK kg/ha), and Humic acid (0.2%). Among the treatments, Vermiwash + Cow urine (T8) consistently exhibited the highest growth parameters. The highest number of leaves (25.11) and fresh weight (27.16 g) were also found in T8. The control treatment, T9, consistently showed the lowest growth parameters, with the lowest leaf area (3.23 cm²) and fresh weight (15.17 g) at harvest. These results demonstrate the positive effects of combining Vermiwash with Cow urine on plant growth and yield parameters.
