Abstract

The present investigation entitled “Studies on biochemical evaluation of oat. (Avena sativa L.) on its Physical Attributes” was carried out in the laboratory of the Department of Biochemistry A. N. D. University of Agriculture and Technology, Kumarganj, Ayodhya-224229 (U.P.). Varieties of oat-improved germplasm/varieties from farmer field and GPB farm of this university and sown in the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three replications. The physical characteristic of oat analysis revealed the highest grain length (3.55 mm) in NDO-10, and width (1.65 mm) in the germplasm of UPO-212 and Test weight of grain in RO-19 (31.22 g/1000 seed). No. of grain/plant (150.00) in NDO-10 and weight of husk in NDO-1802 (303.50 g/kg of seed) were recorded in the present investigation. Therefore, these varieties may be utilized in further research work.
