Automation and System Integration with the ERP Protheus: A practical study using the ADVPL Language
Abstract
This study addresses the practical experience in the development and support of the ERP Protheus system, highlighting the application of the ADVPL language for integrated solutions. The report describes the challenges faced by a junior programmer in a corporate environment, including requirements gathering, API development, and process automation. The research utilized an evaluation questionnaire with technicians and company representatives, with results emphasizing positive aspects such as technical support and improvements in internal processes, while highlighting opportunities for improvement in training and ease of use. Through practical methodologies, routines were implemented that enhanced inventory management, optimized workflows, and reduced operational errors. The results demonstrate the positive impact of Protheus on organizational efficiency and strategic business alignment. This work underscores the importance of technical expertise and effective communication in addressing specific demands and overcoming barriers in the implementation of corporate technologies.
