Abstract

The present investigation entitled “Studies on effect of pruning intensity and time of pruning on growth, yield and quality of guava (Psidium guajava L.) Cv. Sardar” was carried out at field of College of Agriculture Badnapur, Tal- Badnapur, District- Jalna during 2023-24. The results revealed that maximum plant height, plant spread, number of shoots, number of leaves, leaf area, weight of fruit, length of fruit, diameter of fruit, number of fruits, weight of fruits per plant and yield MT/ha obtained at treatment T3 (30 cm pruning intensity at 15th July Time of pruning) which is at par with second best treatment T2 (20 cm pruning at 15th of July) However, Control T10 treatment (Unpruned plant) showed minimum effect on growth, fruiting and yield of guava.
