Abstract

The experiment was conducted at Experimental farm of Department of Entomology, Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani, during kharif season 2023-24 to study Pest Management in Gaillardia (Gaillardia pluchella). The experiment was laid out in a randomized block design with 8 treatments replicated 3 times. The treatments comprised of T1-Thiomethoxam 25% WG, T2-Flonicamid 50% GR, T3-Fipronil 5% SC, T4-Pyriproxyfen 10% EC, T5-Fenpropathrin 30% EC, T6-Clothianidin 3.5% + Pyriproxyfen 8% SE, T7-Imidacloprid 17.8% SL and T8- Untreated control. Among all tested insecticides, Clothinidin 3.5% + pyriproxyfen 8.5% SE found effective against aphids which was statistically at par with Imidacloprid 17.8% SL, Thiomethoxam 25% WG and flonicamid 50% GR. The highest Incremental Cost Benefit Ratio (ICBR) was registered in Imidacloprid 17.8% SL (1:38.62) followed by Thiomethoxam 25% WG (1:32.5).
