Journal of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry · 2021 · Vol. 10(3) · pp. 63–68

Abstract

Fourteen compounds belong to triterpenoids, flavonoids and phenolic acids classes including Lupeol (1), β-amyrin acetate (2), catetchin (3), salicylic acid (4), methyl gallate (5), and gallic acid (6), as well as kaempferole (7), dioctyl phthalate (8), ferulic acid (9), isoquercetin (10), arbutin (11), Quercetin 3-O-β-D-galactopyranoside (12), Kampferol- O- β- D- rutinoside (13) and Chlorogenic acid (14) were isolated from the aerial parts of the Arbutus pavarii Pampan. using gradient solvent fractionation. The identification of their structures were carried out using spectral methods (UV, 1D-NMR, IR, and ESI-MS).
