Performance of farmer producer organization based on socio-economic factors in western region of Tamil Nadu

Abstract

This study analysed the impact of socio-economic characteristics on the performance of Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) in western region of Tamil Nadu. The study included thirty numbers of FPOs in the study area which helps in identifying the impacts of socio-economic traits for the progressive development and expansion of FPOs in the productive prospects. There are many variables taken for the study and the results shown that age, education and experience were the determinant factors which influence the performance of farmer producer organization (FPO).
