Studies on yield and yield attributing character of amaranth (<em>Amaranthus spp.</em>) genotypes under Konkan agro-climatic conditions
Abstract
Field experiment was conducted to on “Studies on growth and yield performance of amaranth (Amaranthus spp.) genotypes under Konkan agro-climatic conditions at Department of Horticulture, College of agriculture, Dapoli, Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli, Dist. Ratnagiri, (M.S.) during the winter season of 2015-16. The experiment was laid out in a Randomized Block Design (R.B.D.) with fourteen treatments as genotypes replicated thrice. The sowing of the seeds of genotypes in the field during November, 2015 with spacing 30 cm between lines to line. Significant differences were observed among the genotypes for yield and yield attributing charactor. The genotypes T12, T13, T7, T6, T5 and T10 had high per plot and per hectare green yield under Konkan agro-climatic conditions.
