Journal of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry · 2018 · Vol. 7(1) · pp. 2716–2718

Abstract

The present investigation was conducted at Urban Technology Park Habak, during kharief 2016 to evaluate and characterize twenty seven diverse genotypes of vegetable Amaranth collected from different agro climatic regions of country. Observations were recorded on various morphological traits in order to characterize the material under study as per the NBPGR descriptor. The characterization results revealed wide range of variation for most of the morphological parameters. Wide variability was present with respect to leaf color, inflorescence color and stem color.
