Contribution to the knowledge of Staphylininae (Staphylinidae, Coleoptera) in Elazığ province of Turkey

Abstract

In this study, we aimed to determine the occurrence of Staphylininae (Stapylinidae, Coleoptera) subfamily species on different locations in Elazig province of Turkey. Specimens were collected by using shifter and separated in the laboratory. Thirteen species from Staphylininae subfamily in altogether 157 specimens were collected. Ocypus curtipennis (Motschulsky 1849), Ocypus sericeicollis (Menetries 1832), Ocypus picipennis picipennis Fabricius, 1793, Ocypus helleni G. Muller, 1926, Ocypus mus (Brulle 1832), Philonthus concinnus (Gravenhorst, 1802), Philonthus rufimanus (Heer, 1839), Philonthus intermedius (Lacordaire, 1835), Gauropterus sanguinipennis (Kolenati, 1846), Gauropterus fulgidus (Fabricius, 1787), Xantholinus graecus (Kraatz, 1858), Rabigus ocaloides (Sahlberg 1908) and Gabrius tokatensis (Smetana, 1977) were determined in Elazig province. All of species were reported for the first time from Elazig province in Turkey.
