Comparison of kinesiology taping and mobilization with movement (MWM) in chronic lateral epicondylitis: A randomized comparative study

Abstract

Chronic lateral epicondylitis is a common musculoskeletal condition characterized by pain and reduced functional ability of the elbow, frequently affecting individuals engaged in repetitive upper limb activities. Although various physiotherapy interventions are used for its management, evidence directly comparing kinesiology taping and Mobilization with Movement (MWM) in chronic cases remains limited. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of kinesiology taping versus MWM, both combined with conventional physiotherapy, in patients with chronic lateral epicondylitis. Sixty participants were randomly allocated to two groups: Group A received kinesiology taping with conventional physiotherapy, and Group B received MWM with conventional physiotherapy. Both groups received four treatment sessions per week for four weeks.
