Quality parameters and cost economics of leafy vegetable in hydroponic tower
Abstract
Hydroponics has becoming more and more popular among farmers worldwide Due to its more sustainable resource use than conventional cultivation techniques, develop hydroponics tower allows plants to grow 50% faster than they would in the soil by supplying easily accessible nutrients on a regular basis. Additionally, a grow tower can be used to collect new produce throughout the year. The water that was utilized for hydroponics will remain in the system and may even be reused. As a result, freshwater will be needed less frequently. The hydroponic tower had the highest quality coriander based on iron concentration (226.37 ppm), chlorophyll content (9.9 mg/g)followed by NFT and open field hydroponic structures. Additionally, coriander of higher quality was produced in the winter, when temperatures were lower and the environment was controlled. Analyzing the production of coriander, which was higher in the winter season than in the previous one due to changes in environmental parameters, was one of the key comparative criteria for two distinct seasons.
