International Journal of Advanced Biochemistry Research · 2026 · Vol. 10(3S) · pp. 284–286

Abstract

An experiment was conducted to study the effect of saline irrigation water on vegetative growth, flowering and yield of African marigold (Tagetes erecta) cv. Pusa Narangi Gainda. The experiment was carried out at College Nursery, NMCA, NAU, Navsari. It was laid out in a completely randomized block design with three treatment combinations and repeated thrice. The results revealed that maximum plant height, number of lateral branches per plant, diameter of flowe, average weight of single flower, number of flowers per plant, yield per plant and minimum days to flowering were recorded significantly in S1 treatment i.e. best available water (<2 ds/m).
