Health consciousness among adult women in the post-pandemic context

International Journal of Home Science · 2026 · Vol. 12(3) · pp. 10–13

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic significantly influenced people’s perceptions of health and well-being, leading to increased awareness about preventive healthcare practices. The present study focuses on health consciousness among adult women in the post-pandemic context. It examines how the pandemic experience has shaped women’s attitudes toward physical fitness, nutrition, hygiene, and mental well-being. Adult women increasingly recognize the importance of balanced diets, regular exercise, immunity-boosting habits, and routine health check-ups as essential components of a healthy lifestyle. The study also highlights the role of media, family support, and healthcare awareness programs in promoting health-conscious behavior. Despite improved awareness, certain challenges such as time constraints, work-family balance, and limited access to reliable health information still affect consistent health practices. The findings suggest that enhancing health education, community support, and accessible healthcare services can further strengthen health consciousness among women, ultimately contributing to better individual and community health outcomes in the post-pandemic era.
