Effect of eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus) as dietary supplement on haematological parameters in commercial broiler chickens
Abstract
This study investigated the effects of dietary Eucalyptus leaf powder (ELP) supplementation on the haematological profile of commercial broiler chickens. A total of 240 day-old VenCobb 400 broiler chicks were randomly assigned to four groups: negative control (TNC), positive control (TPC), 0.5% ELP (T0.5) and 1.0% ELP (T1.0), each with six replicates of ten birds. Birds were reared for 35 days under standardized management conditions. At the end of the trial, blood samples were collected for haematological analysis. Dietary inclusion of ELP significantly influenced some haematological indices.
