Effect of plant growth substances on quality parameters of Nagpur mandarin
Abstract
The present investigation entitled "Effect of different growth substances on fruit quality of Nagpur mandarin" was conducted during 2021-22 and 2022-23 at Akola, Maharashtra on eighteen-year-old Nagpur mandarin plants. The study evaluated the influence of different growth substances on fruit quality and biochemical attributes. While physical parameters including fruit length, breadth, peel thickness, and ascorbic acid content were statistically non-significant, T7 (CPPU 10 ppm + Urea 1% followed by N-ACTA 10 ppm + Brassinolides 4 ppm + Folic acid 40 ppm) exhibited numerically superior values. T7 achieved significantly higher Juice, TSS, and sugar content, with the lowest acidity, indicating marked improvement in internal fruit quality.
