Abstract

The present experiment entitled Effect of IBA and NAA concentrations on sprouting and growth of fig (Ficus carica L.) cuttings was conducted during the year 2024-25 at Department of Fruit Science, College of Horticulture and Research Station, Sankara, Patan, Durg (C.G.). A Completely Randomized Design was used for statistically analysis of data, which consisted of 10 treatments and replicated thrice The present research revealed that the earliest days taken to first sprouting (11.40 days), number of sprout per cutting (5.48), days taken to 50% of sprouting (16.44 days), highest sprouting percentage of cutting (87.89%), length of shoot (8.12, 13.12 and 27.48 cm), number of leaves (7.45,10.55 and 14.56), number of shoots per cutting (2.28 and 3.08) and diameter of shoot (3.23 and 4.06 mm), was recorded under the Treatment T₃ (IBA 5000 ppm) which was closely followed by T2 (IBA 4000 ppm) and lowest was recorded in T0 control.
