Abstract

The present investigation entitled “Effect of different media composition on rooting and growth parameters of betelvine (Piper betle L.) cuttings in Durg district of Chhattisgarh” was carried out during the year 2024-25 under shade net at College of Horticulture and Research Station, Sankara-Patan, Durg (C.G.). The minimum days taken for sprouting (18.13), number of sprouts (1.65, 2.16, 2.90, 3.99) at 25, 50, 75 and 100 days, number of leaves (14.30 leaves) at 100 days, leaf breadth (7.40 cm) at 100 days, petiole length (7.21 cm) at 100 days, number of shoots (3.98 shoots) at 100 days, diameter of shoot (4.06 mm) at 100 days, number of primary roots (10.72 primary roots) at 100 days, length of primary roots (21.92 cm) at 100 days were observed under the treatment T6 (FYM: Vermicompost: Sand: Soil::1:1:1:1). The highest shoot length was observed (36.42 cm) in the treatment T3 (Vermicompost: Sand: Soil 2:1:1) at 100 days.
