Effect of nutrient management practices on yield attributes and yield of linseed in Uttar Bastar Kanker district of Chhattisgarh
Abstract
A field experiment was conducted at Instructional cum Research Farm, Ramprasad Potai College of Agriculture & Research Station, Singarbhat, Kanker, District-Uttar Bastar Kanker, (C.G.) during rabi season of 2021-22 and 2022-23. The soil of experimental site was sandy loam; with low in available nitrogen (131.71 kg ha-1) and available phosphorus (10.83 kg ha-1) and medium in available potassium (190.67 kg ha-1) and organic carbon (0.52%) and neutral in reaction (6.5 pH). This experiment was conducted in Randomized complete block design. Eleven nutrient management treatment viz. T1: 50% RDF, T2: 75% RDF, T3: 100% RDF (60,30,30,20 kg N, P2O5, K2O,S ha-1), T4: Soil test-based fertilizer recommendation (90,45,30 kg N, P2O5, K2O ha-1), T5: 50% recommended dose of nitrogen of RDF, T6: 75% recommended dose of nitrogen of RDF, T7: T1 + Two spray of nano urea @ 3ml litre-1 of water at flower initiation and capsule formation stage, T8: T2 + Two spray of nano urea @ 3ml litre-1 of water at flower initiation and capsule formation stage, T9: T3 + Two spray of nano urea @ 3ml litre-1 of water at flower initiation and capsule formation stage, T10: T4 + Two spray of nano urea @ 3ml litre-1 of water at flower initiation and capsule formation stage and T11: Absolute control were allotted in each plot in three replication. Linseed variety RLC-92 grown with recommended package of practices under irrigated condition. The application of 90,45,30 kg N, P2O5, K2O ha-1 along with two spray of nano urea resulted significantly higher number of filled capsules plant-1, total number of capsules plant-1, seed yield, stover yield and biological yield. The application of 90,45,30 kg N, P2O5, K2O ha-1 resulted higher number of seeds capsule-1, test weight, and harvest index.
