International Journal of Advanced Biochemistry Research · 2026 · Vol. 10(2) · pp. 856–862

Abstract

The present experiment was carried out on twelve numbers of indigenous cattle of 2 years of age. The study aimed to see the variation in certain physiological and biochemical parameters of indigenous zebu cattle in the summer and winter seasons of Assam. The physiological parameters such as Respiration rate, Pulse rate and Rectal temperature were recorded by conventional method. Likewise, certain biochemical parameters such as serum total protein, serum glucose and the serum electrolytes such as Sodium, Potassium, Chloride were estimated by commercially available kits. The serum total protein concentration, serum glucose along with the serum electrolytes such as Na+, K+, Cl-were found to be decreased in the summer season and were significantly higher (p
