International Journal of Agriculture and Food Science · 2026 · Vol. 8(2) · pp. 389–392

Abstract

In the experiment there was two varieties viz. Arka Archana and Arka Adya was taken. In which Arka Archana was significantaly performed more mean values for growth and flowering parameters. In case of growth parameters Arka Archana exhibited the highest plant height (9.81, 29.27 and 42.56 cm), plant spread (N-S) (10.62, 19.56 and 25.35 cm), plant spread (E-W) (7.77, 16.05 and 23.51 cm), number of branches per plant (5.05 and 8.38), more leaves (12.79, 46.52 and 119.06), highest stem diameter (5.64 and 7.74) at 30, 60 and 90 DAT. Flowering attributing character like earlier days to 1st flower bud initiation (43.95 days), earlier days to opening of flower from bud emergence (9.62 days), day to 50% flowering (70.36 days), highest blooming period (70.71 days). Was performed promisingly better by China aster var. Arka Archana (V2) over var. Arka Adya (V1).
