Abstract
The term “contrapuntal” coined by Edward Said implies a method of reading views texts from the perspectives both colonizers and colonized simultaneously. Things Fall Apart is a counter-narrative response to the dehumanized narratives of African culture by some European writers particularly like Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness.
