Economic impact of reliability and performance analysis of washing units in paper mill: A case study using RPT techniques
Abstract
The application of regenerative point techniques and semi-markov processes and taking specific situations, the aim of this article is to investigate the economic impact of reliability and performance analysis of a washing unit in the paper industry for system parameters. Examine the system's profit from both significant and little failures. The system's state diagram is drawn. Equations for the unit's system parameters are written using RPT and are drawn with all probability factors, failures, and repair rates taken into account. For modeling study state metrics (e.g., MTSF, server busy period), which are crucial for plant management, failure/repair rates at the subsystem level are taken to be constant. The graphical analysis is employed to examine the system leading to insights into its reliability and associated costs. This study offers valuable insights for optimizing the reliability and profit analysis of a washing unit in paper mill.
