Effect of urea-hydroxyapatite nanoparticles on growth and yield of rice grown in clay soil

Abstract

Field experiment on “Effect of urea-hydroxyapatite nanoparticles on growth and yield of rice grown in clay soil” was conducted at College Farm, N. M. College of Agriculture, Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari (Gujarat) respectively. Among the different treatments, the results in respect to the periodical plant height of kharif rice, T4 (75% recommended N dose + seed treatment of urea-HA NPs @ 50 mg/kg + 2 foliar sprays of urea-HA NPs) produced the higher plant height (35.09 cm at 30 days, 67.88 cm at 60 days, 89.55 cm at 90 days, and 89.89 cm at harvest) and showed significant result at 30 DAT, in respect to the periodical number of tillers of kharif rice, treatment T4 significantly produced the higher tiller number (9.63 at 30 days, 15.93 at 60 days, 17.02 at 90 days, and 16.97 at harvest), in case of longer panicles (24.35 cm), heavier grain test weight (29.70 g), higher grain yield (5684 kg/ha) and straw yield (6510 kg/ha) in treatment T4 showed significant result.
