A homoeopathic case study of type-2 diabetes mellitus managed on the basis of totality of symptoms and Miasmatic approach
Abstract
Diabetes Mellitus Type-2 is a chronic metabolic disease defined by generalized symptoms and recurrent hyperglycaemia. A major challenge for modern healthcare systems is the increasing prevalence of this disease. Instead of focusing only on biochemical parameters, homeopathy's holistic approach aims to treat the patient as a whole. The male patient in this case study has been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus, which is associated with mental symptoms like irritation and social withdrawal as well as non-healing skin ulcers, pus-filled eruptions, increased hunger, excessive thirst, constipation, and profuse sweating. All of the symptoms and Miasmatic analysis were used to manage the case. After a complete case study and repertorial evaluation, a constitutional homeopathic remedy was selected. During follow-up, there was significant improvement in overall health, skin complaints, mental health, and glycaemic control, indicating the effectiveness of individualized homeopathic treatment for type 2 diabetes mellitus. After a complete case study and repertorial evaluation, a constitutional homeopathic remedy was selected. During follow-up, significant improvements were observed in overall health, skin issues, mental well-being, and glycaemic control, suggesting that individualized homeopathic treatment is effective for managing type 2 diabetes mellitus.
