Effect of spray different types of organic source on growth yield and quality of summer green gram (Vigna radiate L.)
Abstract
The present investigation aimed to find out the “Effect of spray different types of organic source on growth yield and quality of summer green gram (Vigna radiate L.)” was carried out at Agronomy Research Farm of Mewar University, Gangrar, Chittorgarh, Rajasthan during summer season of 2024. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design. Replicated thrice with 10 treatment combinations, comprising T1 Cow urine @ 10% two sprays at flowering and 15 DAF., T2 Panchagavya @ 5% two sprays at flowering and 15 DAF, T3 Vermiwash @ 10% two sprays at flowering and 15 DAF, T4 Jeevamrit @ 5% two sprays at flowering and 15 DAF, T5 Cow urine @ 15% two sprays at flowering and 15 DAF T6 Panchagavya @ 10% two sprays at flowering and 15 DAF, T7 Vermiwash @ 15% two sprays at flowering and 15 DAF, T8 Jeevamrit @ 10% two sprays at flowering and 15 DAF and T9 Control (no spray) The spray different types of organic source was found most effective improve growth yield and quality parameter like maximum plant height (22.65, 28.54 and 32.80 cm), maximum number of branches (6.25, 10.47 and 12.73) at 30, 45 DAS and at harvest respectively minimum days required for flowering in greengram (32.25 Days) maximum number of pod was (17.95), highest seed per pod (10.17), highest grain yield (1.13 kg), the highest grain yield (1883.33kg ha-1), Significantly higher biological yield (5185.39 kg / ha), highest Stover yield (3302.06 kg ha-1), highest harvest index (36.32%), significantly higher protein content (22.32), chlorophyll content (1.22) higher net returns (Rs. 121500 Rs/ha), Benefit: Cost Ratio (2.53) were recorded with treatment T 6 (Panchagavya @ 10% two sprays at flowering and 15 DAF).
