International Journal of Advanced Academic Studies · 2026 · Vol. 8(1) · pp. 121–124

Abstract

The study focused on evaluating the physico-chemical characteristics of Rasin Dam in Banda district, Uttar Pradesh. Monthly fluctuations in parameters like water temperature, pH, turbidity, transparency, total dissolved solids, total hardness, chlorides, phosphates, nitrates, dissolved oxygen, and biological oxygen demand were monitored over a one-year period from July 2021 to June 2022. The results indicated that the water quality parameters were within acceptable limits, deeming it appropriate for domestic use, irrigation, and aquaculture.
