Abstract

A field study was conducted during 2016 to investigate the effect of different organic manures on growth, yield and quality of sacred basil. The results revealed maximum plant height, plant spread, number of branches and physiological parameters like days taken to 50% flowering (minimum), maximum leaf area and total dry matter accumulation and highest fresh and dry herbage yield, per hectare was recorded in the treatment applied with RDF-125:75:60 kg NPK /ha + FYM 10 t/ha (T1) which was on par with T7-(FYM @10t/ha + Vermicompost equivalent to RDN + Microbial consortium @ 5 kg/ha + Panchagavya @3% foliar spray).
