Effect of isoprenaline on precontracted isolated pulmonary artery of goat

Abstract
The objective of the present study was to investigate the effect of isoprenaline on goat precontracted isolated pulmonary artery. Isoprenaline (10⁻⁹-10⁻³ M) elicited a concentration-dependent relaxation in histamine (10 µM) precontracted pulmonary arterial rings of goat with a maximal relaxation of 21.31±3.72% (n=6) and a pD2 of 7.82±0.24. Mechanical removal of the endothelium did not significantly modify the relaxant response with maximal relaxation.
