Effect of lysophospholipid and sophorolipid supplementation on blood biochemical and antioxident status in broiler chicken
Abstract
The experiment was carried out in total of one hundred and sixty (n-160) day old broiler chicks of Vencobb-400 strain for a period of 5 weeks (2nd to 6th). Chicks were randomly assigned into four homogenous groups (10 chicks/replicate) on the basis of their live body weight. All the birds were fed on standard diet formulated as per (BIS, 2024). The four dietary treatments were control were offer with basal diet (T1) other are supplemented with Lysophospholipid and Sophorolipid at 7.5 and 12; 12.5 and 20 and 17.5 and 28 mg/kg, respectively in T2, T3 and T4. Blood collection was doing randomly from eight birds of each group (two birds/replicate) at the end of 6th week. All the major haematological parameters were in normal range and serum parameters were also in normal range except glucose and albumin hence, it was indicated that supplementation of LPL and SPL did not affect health status of birds. Glucose and albumin were significantly increased among different treatment groups and was highest in T4 treatment group. Haematological parameters like Hb, RBCs, PCV, MCV, MCHC, TLCs, lymphocytes and monocytes did not show any significant (p>0.05) differences between treatment groups.
