Spatial insect Biodiversity and Community Analysis in Selected Rice Fields of North Bihar
Abstract
The process of rice agriculture has maintained its important role in the agricultural domain of the country. The comprehensive bug control approaches implemented by the farmers have resulted in genetic variations that are affecting the structure of insect species in the rice field ecosystem. There are noticeable discrepancies observed in the community organization of insects in both upland and lowland fields, which ultimately also impact crop production. This paper provides a study on the biological richness of rice field ecosystems in India and supports the necessity for protection strategies to ensure the future sustainability of these rice field ecosystems in the future.
