Length-weight relationship and relative condition factor of Arius caelatus in Gopalpur creek, East coast of India
International Journal of Advanced Biochemistry Research · 2025 · Vol. 9(12) · pp. 1047–1050
Abstract
A total of 187 specimens of Arius caelatus were collected from Gopalpur Creek along the east coast of India. The month wise length-weight relationship and relative condition factor were analyzed using standard methods. The parabolic equation revealed month-wise fluctuations in the ‘b’ value, ranging from 2.075 to 3.108. The month-wise relative condition factor varied from 0.90 to 1.00, showing minimal variation and indicating a similar growth pattern of A. caelatus throughout the study period.
