Economic evaluation of nutrient management practices in pearl millet under Meliadubia based agri-silvisystem

Abstract

A Field experiment was conducted during kharif 2018 to study the economically feasible integrated nutrient management practices in pearl millet under Melia dubia based agri-silvisystem. The experiment consisted of eight treatments and laid out in randomised block design with three replications. From the results, it was observed that sole crop of pearl millet recorded significantly higher grain yield, stover yield and resulted in higher net returns and B: C ratio with recommended dose of fertilizers followed by 100% RDF through neem coated urea and 75% RD N + Pongamia green leaf manure 10 t ha-1 as intercrop in Melia dubia. With respect to whole Agri- silvi system returns, 100% RDF through neem coated urea recorded higher B: C ratio followed by 75% RD N + Pongamia green leaf manure 10 t ha-1.
