Effect of selected physical exercises on the anxiety of dysmenorrhea patients
Abstract
Dysmenorrhea is a health-related problem of most of the young ladies which put a high impact on their health in general and society in specific, resulting in a high economic cost and even causing absenteeism from work. During this time girls feel anxiety and use some synthetic medicine to get relief from this problem. Some of these medicines have side effects. The aim of the study was to assess the effect of exercise on anxiety of dysmenorrhea. To fulfil the objective a quasi-controlled experimental design was adopted. A total of 20 female students were selected as sample for this study. The exercise training protocol was scheduled for three month. State trait anxiety inventory questionnaire was used to measured anxiety before and after the intervention.
