Case report: Effectiveness of homoeopathy in the management of chronic subareolar breast abscess

International Journal of Homoeopathic Sciences · 2025 · Vol. 9(4) · pp. 1304–1307

Abstract

A 34-year-old woman having a 3-year-old child was first seen in May 2024, with a couple of abscesses of 2-3cm diameter with pain and sensation of heaviness behind the areola of her right breast (upper right quadrant), along with offensive greenish pus discharge since from 3 months. The case was repertorized and Mercurius solubilis was selected based on totality of symptoms. This report illustrates the importance of individualization in homoeopathic prescribing and highlights the curative potential of Mercurius solubilis in chronic breast abscess conditions.
