A new record of Ratna flat Celaenorrhinus ratna daphne (Lepidoptera: Hesperiidae) from Uttarakhand, India
Journal of Entomology and Zoology Studies · 2025 · Vol. 13(6) · pp. 132–133
Abstract
In this paper, we report the documentation of a Ratna Flat (Celaenorrhinus ratna daphne Evans, 1949) from Uttarakhand on 9 August 2025, representing its first confirmed record in the state after 76 years. A lone individual was observed at 1960 m in Gwaldam, feeding beside a small forest stream. This finding underscores the conservation significance of the area and emphasizes the need for continued monitoring to assess the presence of a resident population.
