Trammels faced and suggestions offered by farmers in practicing natural farming

Abstract

Natural farming gives us residue free food, saves environment from pollution and provide better living standards. A study was conducted in six talukas of Junagadh, Rajkot and Gir Somnath districts of Gujarat state. The number of villages were selected irrespective from each taluka on the basis of available of adopted natural farming farmers. Total 144 adopted farmers selected as sample size. The result of the research finding revealed that most important constraints faced by the farmers in practicing natural farming were; low price of their products in market and its unavailability of natural product food (84.02 per cent) and lack of specialized markets for naturally produce (79.86 per cent). Whereas, important suggestions offered by farmers were; there should be assured high price of naturally produce (86.11 per cent) and administrative setup should be promoting natural farming (81.94 per cent).
