Physio-cheimcal properties of soil as influenced by different levels of Biofertilizers and Jeevamrit on Guava (Psidium guajava L.) orchard

Abstract

The present study was performed during two-year experiment 2023-24 and 2024-25 to investigate the impact of different level of biofertilizer and Jeevamrit on physio-chemical properties of soil on guava orchard (Psidium guajava L.). Revealed that viz., electrical conductivity i.e., (0.61, 0.64 and 0.62 dSm-1) followed by (0.59 0.62, 0.60 dSm-1), available nitrogen content in soil i.e., 270.04, 280.54 and 275.29 kg/ha) followed by (262.49, 272.66 and 267.57 kg/ha), available phosphorus content i.e., (17.37, 18.50 and 17.93 kg/ha) which was followed by (16.88, 18.00 and 17.44 kg/ha). Available potassium content i.e., (274.49, 280.13 and 277.31 kg/ha) which was followed (266.87, 272.32 and 269.59 kg/ha) were observed significantly higher under B3-Azotobacter 300ml/tree + PSB 300ml/tree + KSB 300ml/tree which was followed by B2-Azotobacter 250ml/tree + PSB 250ml/tree + KSB 250ml/tree. While, organic carbon content in soil i.e., (0.45, 0.49 and 0.47%) was higher (0.44, 0.47 and 0.46%) and cation exchange capacity i.e., (17.77, 18.09 and 17.93 meq 100g-1) followed by (17.31, 17.62 and 17.46 meq 100g-1) significantly higher was found in B2-Azotobacter 250ml/tree + PSB 250ml/tree + KSB 250ml/tree followed by B3-Azotobacter 300ml/tree + PSB 300ml/tree + KSB 300ml/tree during the year 2023-24, 2024-25 and in pooled data. Among the effect of bio stimulants significantly influenced in various soil physico - chemical parameter viz., EC (0.63, 0.66 and 0.65 dSm-1) followed by (0.60, 0.63 and 0.62 dSm-1), available nitrogen (280.45, 291.33 and 285.89 kg/ha) which was followed by (267.58, 277.97 and 272.78 kg/ha), available phosphorus i.e., (18.03, 19.21 and 18.62 kg/ha) which was followed by (17.21, 18.34 and 17.77 kg/ha), available potassium (284.86, 290.72 and 287.79 kg/ha) which was followed by (272.00, 277.57 and 274.78 kg/ha), organic carbon (0.48, 0.51 and 0.50%) which was followed by (0.46, 0.49 and 0.47%) and cation exchange capacity (CEC) (18.74, 19.08 and 18.91 meq 100g-1) which was followed by (17.89, 18.22 and 18.06 meq 100g-1) significantly higher under J3 - Jeevamrit @ 3.125 L/tree which was followed by J2 - Jeevamrit @ 2.5 L/tree during the year 2023-24, 2024-25 and in pooled data respectively.
