Preventive radiology: A paradigm shift in managing cervical varices for improved pregnancy outcomes a case series

Abstract

Over the period of 3 weeks, we have observed 4 different cases of cervical varices in different obstetric conditions. We prophylactically observed the blood supply in cervical regions. We came to the conclusion that if every obstetric case is evaluated properly in terms of preventive radiology, morbidity and mortality rates can be reduced. This will help obstetricians to plan electively to prevent blood loss during caesarean section.
