Abstract

The current investigation “An Investigation on presence of Entomopathogenic nematodes in soils of Chhattisgarh” emphasizes on isolating entomopathogenic nematodes from soil samples collected from different parts of Chhattisgarh. The study was conducted in Entomology laboratory of College of Agriculture, Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur during the year 2023-2024. A total of 120 samples, spanning a range of habitats, were randomly collected selected from Northern hills, Chhattisgarh plains and Bastar plateau. Six (5%) of the total samples that were obtained were positive for EPNs. Two Heterorhabditis indica from Raipur and Dhamtari and three Heterorhabditis bacteriophora from Kabirdham, Bastar and Kondagaon and one Steinernema shorii was identified from Bastar.
