Soil Macro nutrients status of Dharashiv Tahsil of Dharashiv District of Maharashtra
Abstract
The present investigation was done during 2024-25 to study macro nutrient status of soil of Dharashiv Tahsil under Dharashiv District of Maharashtra. For this research work total 25 soil samples were collected from five villages and five soil samples from each village of Dharashiv tahsil were assembled according to their indicative depth. From each village, 5 soil sample (10-30 cm) were assembled. These soil samples were analyzed for Macro-nutrient viz., Nitrogen, Phosphorous, Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium and Sulphur. Available Nitrogen, Phosphorous, Potassium content were ranges from 152-241 kg per ha, 2.85 to 9.97 kg per ha and 193-893 kg per ha, with a mean value of 172.79 kg per ha, 5.64 kg per ha and 477.92 kg per ha respectively. The availability of Nitrogen and Phosphorous in these soils was low, available Potassium was medium to high. Available Calcium, Magnesium and Sulphur content were ranges from 13.00-40.20 (C mol (p+) per kg), 7.12-23.63 (C mol (p+) per kg) and 2.02-10.74 (C mol (p+) per kg). With a mean average value 22.93 (C mol (p+) per kg), 16.46 (C mol (p+) per kg) and 3.47 (C mol (p+) per kg) respectively. The accessibility of Calcium and Magnesium were high and the availability of Sulphur was between low and medium in range.
