Dental management of Cornelia de Lange syndrome in an 18-month old girl: A rare case report

Abstract

Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS) or Amsterdam Dwarfism is a rare congenital illness marked by faciocranial dysmorphia, low birth weight, psychomotor impairment, and short stature. Due to the absence of biochemical or chromosomal markers for CdLS, which complicates its diagnosis, the syndrome is generally diagnosed based on clinical criteria. This case report aims to address the concerns of an 18-month-old girl who had delayed tooth eruption, and also to demonstrate the significance of a multidisciplinary approach in the diagnosis and management of this condition in children.
