Abstract

The present investigation was undertaken to study the “Effect of foliar application of nano phosphorus on yield and nutrient uptake of soybean in Inceptisol”. The experiment was conducted at research field of Post Graduate Institute Research Farm, Department of Soil Science, Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri, during kharif 2024. The experimental soil was medium black belonging to the order Inceptisol. The experiment was conducted in Factorial Randomized Block design (FRBD) with sixteen treatment combinations comprised of four recommended doses of phosphorus levels (Factor-A) and four nano-phosphorus foliar sprays levels (Factor-B) replicated two times. The Factor A comprised of four levels viz. P0 (0% RDP), P1 (50% RDP), P2 (75% RDP), P3 (100% RDP) and the Factor B comprised of four levels viz. L0 (Water spray), L1 (Nano phosphorus @ 1000 ppm), L2 (Nano phosphorus @ 2000 ppm), L3 (Nano phosphorus @ 3000 ppm). Recommended dose ofN:K2O (50:45 kg ha-1) was common to all treatments and FYM @ 10 t ha-1 was applied to all treatments. The foliar spray of nano phosphorus was applied at 30 and 45 DAS. The results revealed that among different treatment combinations, the significantly highest grain yield (33.90 q ha-1) and straw yield (44.54 q ha-1) was recorded in 100% RDP + nano phosphorus @ 3000 ppm (P3L3). The significantly highest mean oil content (20.73%), test weight (16.67 g) was recorded in treatment 100% RDP (P3) among different levels of phosphorus. Among different treatment combinations, the significantly highest total nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and sulphur uptake (258.81, 46.80, 101.46 and 24.44 kg ha-1 respectively), whereas, micronutrient uptake of Mn, and Cu (457.00 and 98.15 g ha-1, respectively) was recorded in 100% RDP + nano phosphorus @ 3000 ppm (P3L3).
