Role of vamana, virechana and basti karma in infertility

Abstract

Now a day’s more and more couples are showing up at fertility clinics around the world, searching for answers, hope and eventual parenthood. Despite the enormous growth in population it should be noted that humans are not very efficient at producing babies. However being born a human is blessing and reproduce is double blessing. To have your own family is a universal dream. God has boosted both male and female with capacity of reproduction, but a woman shares the major responsibility. Women are considered as one of the most essential factor for continuity of race. According to the definition of woman or Stree i.e. one who lodges a Garbha or foetus is known as Stree. Acharya Charaka said that the woman is the origin of progeny. The failure to ovulate is the major problem in approximately 40% cases of female infertility. Vyandhyatva were found commonly in Gynaecological practice. Ayurveda has mentioned various treatments but in this article case study of Vamana, Virechana and Basti, its importance in Vyandhyatva selected.
