Abstract

A field experiment was conducted during kharif 2023 in Northern dry Zone of Karnataka” in medium black soils at Zonal Agricultural Research Station (ZARS) Farm, Kalaburagi. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design with ten treatments and replicated thrice. The results revealed that, significantly higher plant height, number of branches, leaf area, total dry matter production and root nodules at harvest was recorded with fomesafen 11.1% + fluazifop-p-butyl 11.1% SL @ 225 g a.i. ha-1 at 15-20 DAS followed by fomesafen 11.1% + fluazifop-p-butyl 11.1% SL @ 200 g a.i. ha-1 at 15-20 DAS and hand weeding at 15 and 30 DAS. Further highest seed yield, stover yield, gross returns, net returns and BC ratio was recorded with fomesafen 11.1% + fluazifop-p-butyl 11.1% SL @ 225 g a.i. ha-1 at 15-20 DAS followed by fomesafen 11.1% + fluazifop-p-butyl 11.1% SL @ 200 g a.i. ha-1 at 15-20 DAS and hand weeding at 15 and 30 DAS.
