Abstract

The present investigation entitled “Effect of nitrogen and nano urea plus on productivity of transplanted kharif rice (Oryza sativa L.)” was carried out during kharif season 2024 at the Instructional Cum Research Farm, BTC College of Agriculture and Research Station, Bilaspur (C.G.). The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with three replications. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with three replications. The treatments consisted of ten nitrogen management practices viz., Control (T1), RDN @ 100:60:40 kg NPK ha-1) (T2), 50% RDN + 2 ml nano urea plus one spray at tillering stage (T3), 50% RDN + 4 ml nano urea plus one spray at tillering stage (T4), 50% RDN + 2 ml nano urea plus two spray at tillering stage and panicle initiation (T5), 50% RDN + 4 ml nano urea plus two spray at tillering stage and panicle initiation (T6), 75% RDN + 2 ml nano urea plus one spray at tillering stage (T7), 75% RDN + 4 ml nano urea plus one spray at tillering stage (T8), 50% RDN + 4 ml nano urea plus two spray at tillering stage and panicle initiation (T9) and 75% RDN + 2 ml nano urea plus one spray at tillering stage (T10). The results showed that growth parameters, viz., plant height, number of tillers and yield attributes viz., panicle length, number of grain panicle-1, test weight was found to be higher under treatment (T10) 75% RDN + 4 ml nano urea plus two spray at tillering stage and panicle initiation followed by (T2) RDN @ 100:60:40 kg NPK ha-1). The yield parameters like grain yield and straw yield, recorded maximum yield under (T10) 75% RDN + 4 ml nano urea plus two spray at tillering stage and panicle initiation, this treatment was being statistically significant difference with (T2) RDN @ 100:60:40 kg NPK ha-1), which was produced similar results to (T9) 75% RDN + 2 ml nano urea plus two spray at tillering stage and panicle initiation, (T8) 75% RDN + 4 ml nano urea plus one spray at tillering stage and (T7) 75% RDN + 2 ml nano urea plus one spray at tillering stage. The economic parameters like gross returns, net returns and B:C ratio was significantly superior under treatment (T10) 75% RDN + 4 ml nano urea plus two spray at tillering stage and panicle initiation. The highest gross return (170972.16 ₹ ha-1) and this treatment also gave highest net return (125233.72 ₹ ha-1) and B:C ratio 2.74. However, lowest gross return (100689.33 ₹ ha-1) lowest net return (57979.81 ₹ ha-1) and lowest B:C ratio (1.36) was obtained under treatment (T1) Control.
